## **Building Scalable Marketplaces with Sitecore OrderCloud**

What does it take to build digital marketplaces that scale — and serve millions — without sacrificing flexibility or control?

At our recent **Vertis Tech Talk**, Thom Puiman (Director of Technology, AI & Architecture at Vertis) unpacked how **Sitecore OrderCloud** is transforming commerce through a composable, API-first approach.

The session brought together digital leaders and developers to explore how enterprise-scale marketplaces are being built and scaled across industries.

###### Inside the Session

Thom, a Sitecore Technology MVP with over 13 years of experience across Europe and Asia, shared how Vertis helped the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) in Singapore build the region’s first subsidy-based healthcare marketplace, a cloud-native, multi-tenant platform designed for accessibility, compliance, and real-time operations.

He walked attendees through the technical foundations of OrderCloud’s headless architecture, showing how it supports both B2B and B2C models while maintaining flexibility and scalability for growth.

The session concluded with a look at how Vertis’ composable approach extends beyond healthcare, with Gurlin Singh Lamba (Co-founder & CTO, Vertis) and Akash Joosery (CTO, Gevme) discussing how OrderCloud integrations are enabling unified, omnichannel event experiences.
